What I checked

Source check, 14 October 2026: official announcements and store data establish the game facts. The coordinate catalog uses a fixed joric/ootss snapshot. No personal full clear or current-build replay test is claimed.

Find the world that matches your board

North is the hauling party: pushing, pulling, swapping and later Bard/Druid abilities. East is Mirror Isles: reflections and position exchanges. West is Beamcasters: gems and colored-beam abilities. South is Skipping Stones: river routes, stones and lily pads. Later puzzles combine these systems rather than follow one universal numbered route.

The community catalog supplies 920 marker records in 58 areas. Exactly 106 markers match a nonempty published sequence, while 814 have no route. Base Mirror Isles and Heroes 1/2 have complete coverage within their community groups; that does not mean every puzzle in the full game is solved on this site.

Where I would start

The official site and Steam both say the game is out. On 14 October 2026 the US Steam price was $29.99, the China price on Steam was ¥98, and the PlayStation Store US page also showed $29.99. Nintendo lists a digital Switch 2 edition at 13.8 GB.

Steam platform flags were Windows true, macOS false, Linux false. The official 8 October launch note also names Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Steam Deck, and NVIDIA GeForce NOW. I did not find an Xbox or phone edition on those pages.

What the puzzle field looks like

The official 23 September note places four worlds around an Overworld: north is The Hearty Heroes of Hauling, east is The Mirror Isles, west is Vault of the Beamcasters (renamed from The Promise on 8 October), and south is Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes. There is no single required order.

The site FAQ says more than 500 hours await dedicated solvers and more than 1,000 interconnected puzzles. Wikipedia records Jonathan Blow's separate figure of up to 250 hours at a normal pace for a normal play and 500 or more for a full clear, plus a 1,400-plus puzzle count. I keep those sentences apart because they are not the same claim.

Before using a published route

A familiar-looking board is not enough to identify a solution. Compare its internal name, characters and initial state; versioned IDs such as mirror_22_v2 are retained because a changed starting layout can break an older sequence. The catalog's coordinates preserve height, so two points on the same map plane need not be the same puzzle.

The developer's 12 October patch changes checkpoints and fixes exploits in several families. A failed old route is therefore a reason to check the board and patch notes, not to delete a save. Steam demo saves are explicitly supported in the full release, and that patch also repairs missing demo-player achievements. This guide separates those documented facts from teaching suggestions and community move sequences.
