Best order to play
Checked 14 October 2026. The title is not a sequence. Worlds are optional in any order. A suggestion is labeled as a suggestion.
What I checked
I re-read the official world note before writing a suggested start. The note does not rank the four worlds. The order below is how I would teach the mechanics, and I say so in the first sentence of that section.

The fact
You can enter any cardinal world, leave, and come back. Gold-room combinations happen after you have cleared a bridge, not because you followed a list. The word order in the title is not defined by the developers as a play sequence.
A suggestion, not a rule
If I were teaching a new player, I would start with one pure rule set: either the north party's push and pull, or the east mirrors, before mixing them. South's rivers are clearer after you have rewind in your hands. West's beams are easier once you are used to reading a color as a verb.
That paragraph is a teaching order. It is not printed on the official site. Ignore it if a friend is waiting in another world.
Questions
Is there a correct order?
No. The official description is non-linear.
Why is the game called Order?
The PlayStation hands-on says the title's meaning is withheld. It is not a level list.
