What I checked
I listed only people the September note or the PlayStation Blog names. Steam's short text adds a talking boat among five heroes. I do not know that boat's proper name.
Roles with a source
The Queen opens the game, in a palace and then the Overworld. The north party includes a warrior (Valens, push), a thief (Tif, pull), a wizard (Isidore, swap), a bard (area charm), a priestess (immune, can cover a neighbor), and a druid (transmute). East is a wealthy trader. West is a solitary explorer. South is a marooned sailor.
Steam's blurb lists queen, thief, warrior, wizard, and a talking boat. The boat's name is not in that sentence. I am not filling it from a second-hand wiki.
What the story pages refuse to invent
The PlayStation Blog says the meaning of the title is something the game withholds. A search for the stars' names does not get a fabricated glossary here.
You can finish without every puzzle, and there is more than one ending. That is the plot structure I can state. Scene-by-scene story is not on the official FAQ.

What are the stars called?
The sources used here do not name them. The hands-on says the title's meaning is still hidden.
How many heroes are there?
An official total was not published. The roles above are the ones named in the notes I cited.
